Marta Barreto

Marta Barreto is a Process Engineer at Phillips Medisize, where she provides technical support to improve production operations, develop processes, and optimize efficiency. With a diverse background spanning aerospace, manufacturing, and business support, she brings expertise in process improvement, technical troubleshooting, data analysis, and operations management.

Previously, Marta worked as a Propulsion Technician at Virgin Orbit, where she fabricated and repaired rocket engine components, supported ERP implementation, and led continuous improvement initiatives. She also served as an Administrative Assistant at the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center, helping aspiring entrepreneurs access resources, workshops, and SBA support. Her early experience includes maintenance supervision and student support roles in STEM education.

Marta holds a Master of Arts in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Career and Technical Education from California State University, San Bernardino. A U.S. Navy veteran, she was honorably discharged and is a recipient of multiple military commendations, including the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the NATO Medal. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Marta is passionate about problem-solving, innovation, and supporting communities through her technical and administrative expertise.
